The Mari State Opera and Ballet Theatre n.a. E. Sapaev closes its theatrical season with the premiere of the opera by Puccini "Madame Butterfly" in Italian (tutor in the Italian language - Anna Zhukova).
One of the most captivating works of the opera stage was included in the repertoire of our theater. Director and stage designer Sergey Shepelev, costume designer Tatiana Izycheva really moved the audience to Japan. Music by Giacomo Puccini (conductor Grigory Arkhipov) flows into the soul with a sensual river.
The main characters - Madame Butterfly (Elvira Gurieva) and Pinkerton (Dmitry Semkin) is a great duo, combining beautiful vocal with acting talent. And their colleagues: tricky Goro (Alexey Chistyakov), a dedicated Suzuki (Lyubov Dobrynina), noble Prince Yamadori (Alexander Stolbov), reasonable Sharples (Vladislav Kalashnikov), passionate Bonza (Sergey Garashkin) and cute son, CIO-CIO-San (Ilya Guryev) and other characters (chorus master - Olga Zhilinskaya) - all the characters are genuine, they live the life of people from Japan.
The premiere is very sincere, very sensitive, where the audience and the artists live with one breath, one feeling.
Congratulations on the premiere to our team! This opera, like La Traviata and Carmen, will soon go on tour in England. And let the audience of any country be conquered by your performance and your talent!
